Exclamation Help!

I have a 99 L and I just turned over 19,000 miles on her. I have just discovered that I have the dreaded intercooler leak. SVT is pretty much willing to do nothing about it being that my warranty is long expired. They said they would go halfsies with me if I had bought it at a Ford dealership and had taken it in for service before. But that's not the case. I'm looking for some options here. I really don't want to spend the $1300 to get this fixed when I feel it should be done for practically nothing. If anyone has any suggestions or if anyone knows of a wreck that I can grab a used one from please let me know. This really sucks, please help a fellow owner out. Thanks.

You might want to try one of the tuners/vendors that do alot of motor work, maybe they will have one laying around or can get you a better price....Just a thought!

I may be wrong here but that should be covered regardless of the 3yr/36000 mile warranty because it was a "recall".

I would check with other dealerships and see what they can do

thats weak...i didnt know recalls could be ended but from a business standpoint i see where they are coming from, but still, recalls should stay in effect for at least like 6 years or something, plenty of time to get the vehicles fixed....

recalls

True safety recalls never end you can even tow in a car and have a safety recall performed, but mechanical recalls do have a set exp. time just like the Crown intake deal. Where are you located I have a intercooler from a 99-00 that was not leaking but the cust wanted the recall performed. but keep in mind you will be putting in the same type you took out, (with all that guy has on Ebay for 600$ for the 01+ setup if I needed it I would live on Ebay till it sold LOL). I saved it from the scrap man you are welcome to it for shiping I'm in North Ga. just let me know

It was not a "recall" it was a "customer notification" .
