that's what I said a few posts ago...
But I do know where there is one of the original (stilll in the box) 1960'something EXPERIMENTAL SHELBY BLOWER that has two Carbs and intake all attached, that was snuck out of the Ford plant in the 1960's. I wish I could remember more but it's been about 10 -12 years since I saw it last. It's still there though, the guy will never sell it.
So some of that experimental stuff does sneak out once in a while.
I think if any aftermarket tuner will get the engine it will be paul at paul's Performance (he helped and tested the Cobra) and he hasn't seen one, or if he has he is keeping quiet about it.

I haven't been down to the shop to take the pics... I WILL DO IT ON CHRITMAS EVE!!! that's tomorrow. I have been busy with the 9 second L project (1000 hp engine). This is NOT BS. The funny thing is this thing is an Iron block with Powder Rods and factory forged pistons like the 99-04 L's have. I think that the reason for this is it was before the deal with Manley was made. It doesn't have a rear entry blower on it either. The markings (permanent marker on the custom fabbed blower tensioner bracket) say FORD GT, not GT40 as I am used to saying. It's hard to just say GT when that was a car made in austrailia of of the Falcon platform. It's always been the GT40 to me.
In any case look for pics tomorrow night for an early christmas gift.
I bought the engine from a scrap shop in detroit. This engine was never SUPPOSED to be sold, BUT some of these experimental parts do get through the cracks. Its all in WHO you know and how much you are willing to PAY...

I tell you if this is B.S., it does go pretty deep.
I am always skeptical, but I do give the benefit of the doubt. If it were me, I would of lost sleep trying to get the pictures on here.
I guess we will have to wait, but I can say I won' t be holding my breath.
