Tim

Could you please help with some QA1 shock info. I also have a Hotchkis kit on my Lightning and want to upgrade to the QA1 shock. Did you purchase QA1 #MU7855P?

Also, on your site I noticed that the HEIM joint was held on with two bolts and the one I got from HAL has only one in the middle not the two as shown on your site. Do you know if HAL has modified the heim joint or maybe I have the wrong one.

Thanks

actually while you (hopefully) are here, i have a question for you to. Do you ever drive on the 710, north or south, in anyplace north of the 405 junction? How does you truck like the expansion slots? Does your modified suspension deal with it better than the stock setup?

Sorry, gents. I have no answer -- I got mine from Ruslow. I would order from him. You can get them a few pennies cheaper from someone else, but have they supported the Lightning community like Stan?

I don't drive on that particular road. But I don't understand the issue either. What is the problem caused by the expansion joints? If you mean the pogo stick thing when they are spaced out evenly, the stiffer suspension definitely bounces more than stock.

Mine is held on with FOUR 1/4" grade bolts w/locknuts. I'm sure that is overkill, but that's how I wanted it. Once again, I got the heim joint kits from Stan Martin.

I called QA1 today inquiring about shocks and here is what I was told. The MU7855 are for vehicles that have 2 inch drop shackles, the TC1539 are what you want for stock suspension. The Number on the fronts is TC1538 and they can be revalved but I forgot to ask how much.
