Exclamation At least we only blow foglights

Did anyone see the CBS news on Wednesday ?
6:30 PM Eastern
5:30 PM Central
?:30 PM Mountain
5:30 PM Pacific Time

Apparently they showed and talked about the Dodge Durango and the Dodge Dakota, with critical failures in the upper ball joints. I presume front.

According to my co-worker, they wear out and shear apart, causing the suspension to colapse.

SRT-10 anyone ?

Durango's also had some oil problem, turning oil into sludge in just a couple thousand miles.

This is a serious safety issue.

Just picture this, the DCX PR machine in action:

Reporter: So Mr Deiter Zeitsche, what are your comments on the ball joint situation?

Deiter: well yes there may be a small problem... but suspension isn't so important which is why we like to focus on the new Hemi V8 in this truck...

Reporter: But Mr. Zeitsche, this is a serious saftey issue. People could lose control and die!

Deiter: And only Dodge offers this automatically lowering suspension from the factory at no charge to our valued customers. Did I mention the Hemi?

Its just the main street. I go out the back way and jump on the service road. I never drive it but once in a great while. Most of the time just to go to the gas station to get some smokes or something.

So im not to worried. But sometimes i get to be the guy looking over his fence laughing at a drunk guy thats didnt get hurt
