Don't mean to hijack your thread, but oldfrmtrk, what action would you take if you got it home and found they had driven 'er hard?
As long as nothing is broken, there's no dents, and everything works, what can you hope to achieve from this?
(Not trying to sound like a jerk... I'm really curious as I'd consider buying one myself if I thought I could get use out of it.)

it is the torque converter lock-up that you feel.
To continue off-topic, I have always felt that they could not do something to the vehicle (except crash it) that I do not do regularly myself. It can handle it...

The fist time i took the truck to be service. The person who drove it took it to 120 MPH, down on HY 59. I took the print out and had a talk to the service manager, and question him where can this technician run my truck at that speed legally. In addition it had multiple burnouts. I also asked the manager if they where going to replace the ware and tear on my wheels. (Needless to say that service technician does’s not work on my truck any more)
Needless to say, it has not happened any more.
(With big brother watching, they act respectable) This was the first mod that I purchased when I got the truck, and has been recording everything since it was new, to compare how the truck reacts under different mods. (Example before the air box mod the highest air suction was 0.6 lb/s of air, with the air box drilled out it increased it to 0.8lbs/s. At this time I’m researching the air temperature levels, with the open air box, -vs- an air scoop under the bumper’s (Yes the chip also measures the incoming temperature air in to the intake) I don’t know about you all, But I want to know everything that the engine is doing, and compare results.

Got my baby back. All they did was changed the sparkplugs. They called me to test drive it, they would not do it. I stomped it and it accelerated smoothly. Of course the technician was holding on for his dear life… (Next time I will change the plugs). Thanks for all the info!!
