Bucket Seat mod question

I have a question on the bucket seat mod. I have a console at a friends junkyard. He asked instead of buying the the frame whynot take the frame of a passenger seat in the Expy? What would be different from fords install and installing it in my Lightning. I would think a lot of the parts and bolts can be gotten out of this Expy and i wont have to get to much more right? Has anyone done this? This is gonna rock

I dont see why that would work, if its hardware from the bottom of a captains chair it should line up no problem. The parts people order from ford to do the job might be a mix-match of different vehicles though.... but Im willing to bet you could do it your way.

Anything can be made to work anyhow.. I say try it, if you can get the parts cheap enough then its worth a try at least.

I didn't even buy the frame. I just cut down my seat frame and re-welded the cross member....saved 100 bucks.

I think the expy lower frame will work fine. The cushion is L specific. Many just modify the foam from the origional L seat.

Let us know how it pans out.
