Which tuner has the cheapest re-burns?

Ok, so I'm unhappy with my current tuner and I am looking at getting a new chip but i would like to know who has the cheapest re-burns. I've spent over $1000 with my current tuner and every time I call to get a re-burn they want $50, is it just me or is that a rip?

1000?? Sounds a little high to me!!

Whoops thought you meant on chip reburning?? This wasnt one of those tuners that said Free Reburn for the winter months on Dougs Thread, and then put in a verbal disclaimer once you called that says. "Well I meant only if you were detonating??"

I'm assuming the $1000 was for a chip and other things... I HOPE...

Most the tuners on here (see vendor page) burn chips.
Some only burn certain types (superchips, Autologic, DIablo etc...)

What chip do you currently have? Or would you rather buy a new chip and start over?

I think I know what tuner you are talking about. Had the same problem. Buy a chip from JLP and he ususally reburns them for $20 and you know it's done right.

I got mine from JLP and they do not charge me for re tunes (had like 5/6 already). I think they may charge $40. Give them a call.

If someone can't pay their tuner 10 for a reburn, they shouldn't be modding at all.

I think the guy just felt like he was getting screwed, and wanted to save a few bucks. Thanks for the words of wisdom though..

I think JDM gives you two free reburns when you buy his chip. And usually reburns for free if you buy parts from him. But anything other than that they charge 125.00 for each reburn. Correct me if I am wrong.

i would think that they would reburn the chip for you free if your initial burn sucks. i have a 9.6/1 a/f and the tuner told me its not a problem, even if its not a prob it still sucks, im getting tired if puffing big black clouds out everywhere

Damn thats pig rich ! They should only charge you postage for reburns if you bought the chip from the originaly . I can see them having a one time fee for chips that werent bought from them .
