Predators on eBAY

For those thinking about buying a Predator, you can find them on eBAY..... and quite abit below the alleged fixed price you have heard. IF you email the seller he will drop the price even lower then the eBAY buy it now price. Keep in mind most tuners will gladly sell you tunes regardless where you purchased your Predator. Actually, seems tuners will very well be selling their tunes at competitive prices for this reason.

Maybe when he advertises them. It would be a PITA to bid and get the wrong one and try to return it etc. Unless he is willing to sell "offline" from Ebay direct to you if that is what you mean.

Selling Predators on Ebay

Just FYI, as per Nick Spinelli, sales manager at Diablosport:

" No one selling our products on e-bay will be considered authorized DiabloSport dealers, and those Predators will not be honored on potential warranty claims, or future update revisions to hardware or software."

Keep in mind each Predator has it's own serial number, so Diablo knows exactly where each one comes from.

Personally, I will probably be buying a Predator from you Sal this Spring as I want the Predator and wish you as the one supplying the tunes! IF I do not support you, the vendor, you may not be around to do the tunes..
To play devils advocate though IF DiabloSport distributes the Predator to an "authorized DialboSport" dealer and that dealer choses to sell the Predator for say even $50.00 or $900.00 DiabloSport will in fact have to honor the warranty on the package regardless! Now, if the unit is say stolen/black or gray market, a unit that has been tampered with, serial numbers changed, etc. then DiabloSport can deny "potential warranty claims, or future update revisions to hardware or software." BUT again if the lowball $ vendor selling the Predator is a recognized/authorized DialboSport dealer at the time of sale then DialboSport can legally be held warranty accountable in most if not all USA states.
Having some Vendor or even a DialboSport Sales Manager threaten otherwise will not defeat the warranty on the package. DialbloSport can threaten their distributors, etc. BUT to void a warranty from a customer that bought a product in good faith from an authorized dealer because he got a good $ deal ... well, the courts will not let that happen. By the way I have not seen any such disclaimer like you mention in print anywhere that a retail buyer could read. Also in closing, MANY of the authorized Predator vendors are offering lowball prices IF you contact them via telephone.... of course no one is admitting to this.

Thanks for your support; it's a shame that many others don't feel the same way you do about supporting those of us who are doing more for the customer than the companies that just stock large quantities of a product and sell it cheap.

The issue with price whoring and ebay sales, is that most of the time, these companies are NOT direct distributors for the manufacturer. They are buying them from direct distributors, which allows them to break distributor rules and do what they want. In turn, this hurts the sales of the "legit" companies that DO follow the rules, and often have to make sacrifices such as large initial buy ins and have to meet certain sales quotas to remain distributors. Many manufacturers have minimum pricing standards, and very strict rules about sales and what not. Pricing standards preserve the product, the manufcaturer and the dealers. All three work as a team to bring the customer a quality product, with great support. Every time a vendor breaks those rules, they take away from that team effort. In the end, the customers suffer. So basically, the customer that buys his stuff from a price *****, is just short changing himself.

Sal, I have teenage sons that often buy from eBAY and lowball vendors. I myself will do this.. I do caution my sons that IF it is only a few $ more or $ within reason then go with the local vendor whether he be selling from his website or local store front. I tell my sons IF you don't spend the $ at the local vendor, the vendor that will provide you with the SERVICE, then that local guy / the guy that provides the good service may just close his doors as he is not making enough $. THEN, you will get a product at a great price but have no where or limited places to turn for service. NOW, if I can save many $ going to a lowballer I do as I feel I may be getting fleeced/ripped off by that nice local guy. In the case of the Predator it is worth it to me to pay quite a few $ more for the Predator IF it provides me with a link / a tether / a relationship with a tuner that will offer top notch tunes at prices that are within reason. I ask the guys buying the Predator think long and hard who you buy the Predator from. In essence you are fooling with a very pricey vehicle. Being dollar foolish in regard to Predator or Predator tunes may eat you up in the end.
Think about it... Will close this by saying I trully believe WE will ALL be seeing prices reduced quite abit by all the Predator vendors in the not so far off future. As I stated many vendors are offering LOW prices on the Predator if you call them. Some vendors are giving the custom tunes away to get sales.. Again caution who you get those tunes from!
