Key remote going dead...

Key remote going dead...

key remote is losing it range...anyway to replace battery, i don't want to risk taking it apart and breaking it. Any suggestions?

you can pop off the remote fairly easily, i did it once when i dropped it. came right in half. just popped it back together. try a small flathead and see if ya can just pop it off....hope this helps

or if you rather just get a new one. they are about $25 or 8+ on ebay.

turn the key on and off 8 time, the door locks will lock and unlock? hit the lock and unlock on one fob then the next one, you're done

Whoa, it's a simple process to open the remote and change the battery. I'd do that before popping for a new one

Heck, If you want a remote shoot me a e-mail bluelightning_03@hotmail.com. I will just ship you one I have aa whole desk drawer full of them from all my trucks I have gone through.
Like Probleminfected said they are easy to program eventhough they were off another truck.

also, you can have up to four of them, i think, 04 and up, new can network pcm's can have up to 8 remotes and keys

note: does not include 04 L, just an interesting fact
