Did anyone else notice that the thread referenced was started in APRIL. It even sat dormant for almost two months before a Lightning owner reopened the wound... sheesh. It's bad enough we have 12,000+ SRT threads here, now we have to go to SRT forums and bring up their dead threads?

We bash and trash them, they bash and trash us. Big deal.

The only thing I want to know, is since they have the Viper engine are they going to have to pay Viper prices on mods?

More then likely, however if they spend money on say a blower or turbo, they will be doing some serious damage. A 1000hp srt 10. I wonder if that would be able to hook.

Anybody that will spend $45,000.00 on a sport truck probably won't have any problem spending another $4,000.00 on a blower.

We don't even own a dodge, or anticipate it coming out (other than to race it) Like I said in previous posts, lets wait till it comes out, let it come out and do it's thing, then instead of talking about racing one, go out and line up next to one.

To bad the SRT-10 Ram is so slow. Motor Trends first drive test shows it running a 13.8@101. Lightnings can beat that stock. The test also shows it to wiegh 5150lbs. Sounds like it could us a major diet and loose those oversized power robbing rims.

Keep in mind I have seen Magazines that tested the Lightning to 14.5 and other cars much slower then they really are. You can never tell till you start seeing them at the track with your own eyes. I will laugh my a$$ off if they actually do only run 13.8'S @ 101.8mph.

Ya well even if it has another .7tenths in it, that still a dissappointment for 500hp. Not to mention that spoiler is gay. Think I would save my $12,000.

You're correct that the larger rims will cause it lose a little bit of speed, but the larger wheels are much more common now days and look much better on the trucks and SUV's. 18's almost look lost on a truck the size of an L. Heck, even the ricers are coming out with 18's from the factory. A good compromise would be a 20.

This guy is hilarious. Like that one feller said in that thread, he must get his "inside information" from the former Iraqi Information Minister.

I am predicting that the new Dodge will *squeak* by a stock Lightning. For the price difference, I would really expect a thorough stomping, but I'll believe it when I see it.

Back to paper racing...

Damn . . . i sent the guy a really mean and angry pm and went back to try and find the thread, came across one that says the kid died in a car accident. Feel kinda bad for it but he sure was blowing some BS in that damn thread. It was really pissing me off. My condolences though.

The kid that died was named Andrew. There was a thread posted here a few weeks ago with a link to it.

Your post had me searching though. That would have made us L guys look like the sorriest MF's around....I think we are alright though.

Rocks

Please try not to compare a wanna-be truck called the L. Read the other digest concerning this truck and see why. Not much room for any more improvement.

What is interesting that the L needs 18psi to get those numbers while the same kit on the 5.7 Hemi requires only 8 psi to reach 517HP. Hmm...let me crank up the hemi and see what numbers I can reach with 18psi.

OK I READ ENOUGH
