thanks, another vote for the Jeep.
I like the leather interior on the Grand Prix, but I don't like the dash (speedo and rpm) I like the Grand am's speedo better. I doubt they are interchangible right? I think the Grand am Gt's speedo looks a lot better... just wondering if I did go with the GTP...

Go with the Jeep!
I had a SSEI bonneville that had the supercharger. When I hit around 70k miles the SC started making alot of noise. The ABS sensors went $525.00 installed. Too many electronics for a winter car.

Just my .02

Go with the Jeep by FAR! I would NEVER own a Pontiac, everyone I've known with one said they were crap. You already have the Lightning for speed, so get the Jeep. I had a 99 Sport and loved it, I only sold it because I had too many other "toys" at the time. I still miss the Jeep and will probably get another one when I have the room / money. They don't get the best gas mileage, but it's not much worse then the L (and you can put 87 octane in it without thinking twice). I got between 11-13mpg in mine w/ 33's leaving it in 4th on the freeway. Also, when it does break down you can fix it yourself. I never even had to jack my Jeep up except to swap tires.

I miss it.

yeah my mom has a 94 bonneville and has her share of problems with it. The motor has been real good to her, but she's had problems with the computer, electronics and sensors also.

If you want practicality get the GTP, if you want something small to whip around town and do some off roading, get the jeep. Two of my good friends have them and they really aren't good for anything other than daily commutes and off roading. They suck on the highway, the milage is worse than the Ls and their tanks are small.

I really do want the Jeep, I just can't find what I'm looking for.
Black 6 cyl. with soft top, 5 speed.
Black leather interior... Just like the one below.
If anyone finds anything like that for sale for
under $12,000 near Chicago let me know please.

Thanks, Shane
