Audio Question

I recently bought a new MP3 player and would like to connect it to the factory head unit. Has anyone attempted this?

REAL easy!

Just get a simple wiring kit for it at your local Best Buy, etc...

Plug the new wiring harness into your stock one, then connect up the wires on that new wiring harness to the wires on the back of the new radio.

VERY simple.

...the trim piece around the radio pops off.

Sorry, I don't think I made what I am trying to do very clear before. What I mean is that I bought a portable MP3 player (similar to an Ipod) and I would like to wire it into the stock head unit. Seeing as how there is no tapedeck on the '03s, I can't just use one of the adapters. Someone mentioned the possibility of wiring it into the headunit manually. Has anyone tried that?

You can't wire it into the stock unit since there is not an aux output. What are you going to play it on? Radio is used and cd is used.

You can get an FM modulator which broadcast your mp3 player via shortwave radio to an unused radio station. Then all you have to do is tune into it.

i just saw an ad in a magazine for a adapter that goes in
between the harness and the radio that has rca audio inputs
it was advertised for adding video systems to stock head units
it should work fine for your mp3 player.

ill look for the add, it was a known company that makes
cd changer adapter cables for years already,i just cant think of it.
