What's this white stuff?

Took the truck out today for the first time with a little snow on the ground. The temps were in the 20's. Man was it cold this morning. But the truck started right up. The roads were clear like normal. Nothing was sticking. I did take the truck into a parking lot see how it would do with light snow on the ground. It didnt do that bad. But like I said it was just powder, and I know it get a lot worse. (still looking for a winter car)
Thanks, Shane

I've seen plenty of ice during winter, but never snow. Well once when I was like 5.

good thing you did that shane, theres one thing i think everyone should do with their vehicle esp when they get a chance in rain or snow is take it out to barren parking lots and roads and kinda find the limit of how much they can stick and how they can brake, its important to know your vehicle.

Is snow harder to drive on than rain when its just powder like that? I've never seen the stuff.

It looks like nuclear fallout to me

Remember a truck is wider than normal when going sideways

Yeah the truck drove fine on the main streets. Like I said it was nothing to be scared of. (that stuff is coming!!) It was just the first real snow fall period. Some people won't even count today as the first snow fall it was so little. But I had to stop at the bank so I did turn into the parking lot and I was testing the limits. The abs worked pretty good. The hardest time I had was when I came to a complete stop (even in this amount of snow) getting back started again took very little throttle. Once I got going though, the truck drove very good in the parking lot. It's similar in the rain. I am just waiting for heavier snow falls, I will have to put the truck away right around Christmas time. The roads can get pretty bad and the side streets sometimes dont get plowed.

Shane,

That's Hopkins Intl. Airport outside of Cleveland behind me and the Expo. Center where the Cleveland Intl Car Show is behind my gf (taking the .jpg).

That winter was UNBELIEVABLY cold! Lake Erie actually froze OVER while we were there - it looked like a huge skating rink as far as the eye could see.

Ronald

I need to get a TX sig. now.

Thumbs up

That looks like the back parking lot of Montrose Ford.

Shane - truck isn't that bad at all, huh.... It will go well in the snow as is. Apply the winter vehicle money to more go fast mods. You have to remember that you won't be able to rocket away from a stop like you can in dry summer conditions. Slowly apply the gas... as if an egg were between your foot and the pedal. Try it, it works! I drove my first Lightning through every winter, and I really liked it - stock tires, and no weight to boot!
