Shane - truck isn't that bad at all, huh.... It will go well in the snow as is. Apply the winter vehicle money to more go fast mods. You have to remember that you won't be able to rocket away from a stop like you can in dry summer conditions. Slowly apply the gas... as if an egg were between your foot and the pedal. Try it, it works! I drove my first Lightning through every winter, and I really liked it - stock tires, and no weight to boot!
Phil,

Those 2 .jpgs were actually taken in the parking lot at the Radisson Inn there in Montrose/Akron. Up the hill from Outback/Damon's/Big Dog Brewery (I think that was the name of it).

As much as I'd love to drive my truck 12 months a year, I don't think it's the best thing to do. I drive a lot, and the weather here does get pretty messy. I dont want to really chance it. I'd rather go out and get a winter car, and be able to drive that all winter no problem, and not have any problems with the truck. I think I am about done doing things to the truck. I need to save my money for a 2nd car and to pay off school. I dont want to do anything major to the truck any time soon. The next thing for me is pry a winter car.
Thanks, Shane

I drive my truck... I have nothing else. But if I really need to, I can borrow my dad's Tahoe. After dec. 19th I'll be without my truck for 4 weeks anyway because I'm going for surgery

Glad you had some fun in the snow Shane
As for it going fine, ya maybe on level ground with a dusting,
but go ahead and try and climb ANY incline and see what happens,
especially with a foot or two on the ground,
IT AINT HAPPENING
I got stuck more times last winter in the Lightning,
than my entire 27 yrs of driving put together.
Got a POS JEEP this yr if it holds up that long

You guys are getting the weather we had last week. We had a record high one day and then we had snow last wednesday of about 2" at ground level and as much as 7 or 8 " up in higher elevations. Of course it was gone about as fast as it came. Strange weather so far out here in the Northwest.

There's a few pics of my truck after a heavy snow fall last year.
