Dumb block question

Just curious:

What is the difference between a longblock and shortblock???
I have seen people with both types of motors being built, but what are the differences between the 2? What does a Lightning have in it stock? Long or short?

Thanks

There's no difference in the block size. A shortblock is just the block, pistons, rods, ect., while the long block comes with heads and everything else. Just technical terms...I just out found the answer to that question a few months ago so don't feel bad

So short is like block + internals ?

and

long is like a fully assembled, ready to drop in motor?
