I would be suprised to see any individual take the liability/responsability for allowing people to race on their property. After the first crash people would line up to sue him. And we know there will eventually be a crash, it always happens sooner or later.

I'm sure you could post up some signs in plain view to anyone who choses to use his land for racing, that theyare liable. I know our judicial system is way off sometiems but come on, if theres a giant sign saying the owner isn't to balme and hes nice enough to let you rac eon his land than hes not repsonsible.

Or maybe, you just wouldnt have the kind of a-holes at your track that would sue because they were stupid or they messed up. I'm gettin sick of the lack of just general honor in this country. Kinda reminds me of a thread awhile back no on this board, but another, where greg evans was discussing the fact taht he doesnt warrenty his tranny, and people were yelling at him about it, not realizing that greg would simply replace it or generally do whats right, if he was really at fault. Why can't things work like this anymore, what the hell happend here.

You would think that it is that easy but it isn't. He can put up all the signs that he wants too, but when it comes down to it in a civil trial, the judge or jury will decide his level of liability. I can see it now, the family of a 16 year old girl ,who was standing on the side of the road when the car went out of controll and killed her, is sitting on the witness stand telling the judge and jury how their lives have changed. Then crying uncontrollaly, the mother faints. Then the land owner gets on the stand with his "race at your own risk" sign. I am not saying that it is right or wrong, but who do you think is going to win?

grinomyte,
I agree with you 100% but you can never tell what a person or their family will do when $ is involved or when they feel the need to teach someone a lesson. People are people and we all make mistakes. It's just that some people don't take full responsability for their actions and they try to hold others responsable for all or part of what happens.

Now to get the thread back on track, (since I got it off track ) any news on when we can race?
