so i can remove the cats and still pass emmisions?

Visual pass - Depends on where you live, and the laws, etc.. You may want to find out. If your original factory cats were ...lets say.. "DAMAGED" and you replaced them, that is legal.

It will pass a sniffer, though...

Many states have laws against removing any emmission devices. The penalties can be very severe. Repair facilities are also sometime required to report any violations or suffer serious penalties also. Something to think about before you go tampering with your vehicles emmision devices.
