I dyno'd 496/562, same 90 degrees with 16lbs of boost. Are you attributing the boom to the extra 18 - 20 lbs of boost?

That reminds me of a motor I blew up in my race car two years ago. When our engine builder tore it down one of the pistons was upside down in a cylinder. The camshaft was broken in 8 places. Ihave pics of the piston, and the oil pan in my gallery.

JLP i think is doing built short blocks for 3600, no core swap needed.

exactly what i was thinking, but how would you polish it up to be presentable? I wouldn't have the first clue. Sandpaper?
