Broke my tensioner
hey guys i broke my tensioner a little while back when trying to remove my super tight belt. The part that broke is the piece that you put the breaker bar into to release the tension on the belt. Does anyone know where i can buy a new one?
I tried forpartscheap.com but i dont know if the tensioner is the same on a lightning as a regular 5.4

Man, wish you would have posted this earlier today, I would have put one in with your spark plug order. You can use the regular 5.4 one; it's the same one as used on the Lightning for the main belt, all you need to do is swap your pulley over from the broken blower tensioner.
Thanks sal, the reason i need a new one is because i decided that i'm going to pull the supercharger and intercooler to do a full cleaning. So hopefully the full cleaning and the new plugs will fix my pinging problem. If that doesnt do it i'm going to check the fuel pumps, and if that doesn't do it ... i'll just drive the truck off a cliff ... j/k
Thanks for sending the plugs out so soon considering i placed the order last night, your the man. About the tensioner, i guess i'll just go to ford tomorow and see how much they sell them for.
Which one on this website is the right piece, i'm not exactly sure which one it is. i'm pretty sure it's the surpentine tensioner w/supercharger but not 100 percent sure.

I emailed the people on that site when i needed the part numbers for the idlers and the idler suppoert so i would just email them and ask them. I glad i could help with your problem from my experiance with basically the same problem.
