Blower oil capacity?

Does anyone know the exact amount of oil the blower holds? I'm sure you guys who have pulled the snout will know. I got about 5.5 oz. out by a ghetto method. Thanks

I used a gas syphoning kit. It worked, but the tube wasn't quite small enough so I had to try and jam it into the blower. I got most of it, but I don't think it reached all the way to the bottom. Putting a small tube on the end of a turkey baster might work better. I didn't want to buy the brake bleed kit that was suggested somewhere on here.

Ah, thanks. Also, for anybody doing this, go to a GM dealer to get the oil. Same stuff for their eatons and it's 14 bucks total for 2- 4 oz. bottles. 1/2 price compared to Ford.

do you have to change the oil out on the blowers? If so how often and how?

There were mixed opinions when I first researched this over on NLOC. I decided to try and do it since I'm spinning the he!! out of the little thing with the 6#'er. The old fluid was darker than the new. You either have to take the snout off or come up with a way to suck it out of the level check hole. Maybe some more opinions will surface.
