Anyone have a problem with hitting the rev limiter between shifts??

Ive noticed this problem start as soon as my truck had the power to spin the tires through first into second. And now the more power I add the worse the problem seems to get. It only does this when Im on my street tires. My tuner told me that this cant be avoided in high horsepower autos? Is this true?? He has raised my rev limiter up to 6000rpms and even lowered my 1-2 shifts down to 5300rpms. But it will still band the rev limiter before it shifts if the tires are spinning. Ive got the FTVB and even raised the line pressure through my chip, yet it still does it. Any suggestions guys? It bugs the crap out of me and sounds like crap when it pops between shifts.

Thanks

Sean

Mine started doing it from a 2-1 kickdown or sometimes on the 1-2 shift. It never did it before until I added the e-fan and Cobra R w/pump. Guess I may need a reburn because it does rev alot quicker.

Oh, My boost dump solenoid is unplugged so I know thats not the problem.

I"m getting the same thing anytime I punch it going 35-40mph or lower. 2-1 kickdown and it revs up, spins the tires, and pops. Makes me mad.

Well I guess move your rev limiter higher (bad idea) or get some stickier tires. NittoR drag radials.

If you are spinning, it will hit the rev limiter. I'd let off and let it shift by 5500 while spinning. It's a common problem.
