Thanks for the replies guys but I was referring to the Tuners packages - The bronze - silver etc and the pricing from the various sites.

The racers package seems like its closer to a decent deal since you get a good program for your single truck and you can make any mods you need to as time requires. The thing is with my truck the only changes I would make would be a summer - winter and race program which I can get for less $ from a flip chip...

I think the best thing to do is wait and see what happens in the market. There are clearly some changes coming. In the mean time the modular site will make for good reading

Thanks again

Doug

Doug I answered you over on the Depot, but just in case you don't see it, individual chips are $199, not $300. I'm not sure, but it looked like you might have implied that I'm an SCT dealer. I'm not, I'm not selling anything, just like we have discussed on the phone before. But, I do think the product is a big step forward compared to any other aftermarket product out there, and will be much moreso as soon as the flasher is released, which is supposed to be late this year. There should be multi position chips available in that same timeframe also if someone wanted to go that route, but the indication I'm getting is that the flasher should be able to hold 3 programs. I really don't understand the summer-winter thing I keep hearing though, it's not difficult to make one calibration work properly in all seasons.

SCT has given me the green light to show a screenshot of the software, to a limited extent. I can show one that has the lists of all the categories of items, but not the individual items themselves, nor the accompanying help text for each item, so I had to black out a lot of it. I'm sure everyone can understand why. But you can see the other things in the demo version, a new demo version is supposed to be released next week. Keep in mind that each of those check boxes to the left are merely categories, and that each of them expands into multiple calibratable items, each of which has its own help text.

In my opinion, this software package gives the Lightning/or any Ford product owner the ability to control almost any parameter on their vehicle. None of the other chip/software companies have anything close to this.

that screenshot looks just like a Diablo Rev screenshot.

Can anyone tell us the difference between the two? SCT and Diablo Rev?

Ahh boy here we go again.

G03 the main difference between the 2 systems is SCT gives the individual the ability to tune, and software and technical support are there. The Revolutionary software is for Tuners only and not available to a person only wanting to tune 1 or 2 cars.

As for Specifics I will let you guys argue that stuff

SCT pro racer package = 4 bank tuning by an individual
Revolution = 4 bank tuning by a licensed automotive business and,"The revolution software is only available to dealers that have a chassis dyno, and accompanying diagnostics equipment." (direct from diablo)

SCT pro racer package = $795
Revolution = $?

SCT pro racer package = reflash or 4 bank chip then $399/$299 for each additional car(must be owned by same person)
Revolution = ?

SCT pro racer package = ?

I menace,

"as soon as the snow melts I'm getting #1 dyno tuned by Jerry"

I don't think Jerry W. likes Lightning Owners.

Jim, Jerry doesnt like the General Attitude of a huge % of Lightning/Cobra Owners. All they are after is Dyno numbers they dont understand a thing about them, ex. its possible to give up a few hp to have a flatter tq line in order to see better overall ETs. I personally think he should not have said Lightning owners but instead said Kids (High School to College age) in general.

Back to your regular scheduled program which is going to be driven into the crapper in some way.

BTW- G03 if you had only done some research on the internet you would find the difference between SCT/Diablo.

I contacted Dyno Dave's in Detroit and they said to give them a week notice and C'mon down.

From what I gathered, Jerry lives in the detroit area.

Why would I waste my time researching it when I've got you and all the armchair tuners here that already know the answer and are willing to share their vast knowledge?

I love my SCT chip and jerry's tune. I work closely with my local SCT dealer so any changes are very easy.
