Scott and others..... I also have been looking for a custom hood for my '03 DSG Lightning. At this point I think I will keep my stock grills (may paint them) and am seeking a "steel hood". After talking with various autobody guys they all say go with the steel if possible. They say fit is better, less prep prior to painting, paint matches better with no need to blend in fenders. More durable, No paint cracks/spidering. Also able to keep stock hood lifts..... Anyway, I have found one steel hood thus far that looks aok.. Made by Reflexxion and shown in the photo below. I can get it for about $430 which includes shipping.
Curious anyone have this hood? Any comments on it in regard to install, etc.. When you are sitting in the drivers seat looking out what do you see in regard to the hood? Do the window washers work well? As for you other guys what do you think about the looks of this hood? IF I were to get it I would not put bright metal mesh, etc. in the cobra holes.... Your thoughts?

also, I've never been a fan of advertisements (giant decal in windshield) why put advertisements when you're not paid to?

Street Scene Speed Grille...

Butter face on the woman...smooth body though. And the truck has the big advertisements because that is the 'show truck' for Sport Truck Direct here in Scottsdale.
