LOL
i finally got that stupid bulb out.. it's tiny
oh, some of you may not be able to see the light because you still have the ashtray installed in the cupholder.. pull it out & turn the lights on.. you'll see it light up.

How did you get the bulb out?
I have compounded the problem by (like a dumba$$!) pulling with pliers. Now, it's broken and I still have no idea how to get the bulb out - not to mention getting a broken bulb out!
Any ideas/suggestions?

Late to the problem .... but, the way to get it out is to push a vacuum line cap over the bulb, squeeze with your fingers, pull and it comes right out. Make sure that the cap you select is a snug, not tight fit on the glass.
I have a 2000 Harley and the lamp has the numbers N H 9 listed over 3 9 8 on it. The print is so small that it took a 4" magnifying glass in front of 2.50 readers to get it, but I have been unable to cross that number to anything.
Someone here said #37. Is there anyone here that works at a parts store that can look it up?
thanks .... your neighbor, ron :-)
