My L cost me @ 1000.00 per yr for full coverage on everything.
Then my second car, with no fire, theft, etc.. (A POS JEEP)
cost me less than a hundred dollars less, GO FIGURE

I was 21 when I bouht my L. I traded in my 97 Reg Cab, Flareside bed, with a 4.2L V-6 manual tranny in on it. I was paying $230 a month on the 97. When I got my L they counted it as a reg F-150 and my insurance DROPPED to $175 a month.

Just thought I'd share my experience....

Andrew

I consider comparing insurance rates to asking what fuel mileage you get. Numbers are all over the board and they never make much sense.

One thing that affects insurance is how the vehicle is being used. If one person lists it as a full time use vehicle with unlimited mileage, you would expect to pay more than another that is considered an extra vehicle and is for limited use mileage. Also, areas that you live in will affect the rate you pay. And one other major factor, especially for some of the younger drivers on here, is it your policy, or are you piggy backing on your parents policy and getting a multi car discount with a limited use policy? Unless policies are comparing apples to apples (exact same coverage, with the same conditions), then the rates that are being compared aren't very realistic.
