Winter and WOT

Question for your motorheads and vendors.....already hearing a lot about blown motors and it's only november....I have a daily driver (mods in sig) and want to know if it's "bad" to drive WOT during the winter. I know the tune issue, but i'm at like 12 lbs boost and have a 4# lower, so i should be okay, right?? I just want to make sure i don't embarrass myself ( and incure a huge expense) at some stop light in December when i SR some SS or cobra..... Thanks for your answers in advance

I also run a 4# lower, and I routinely WOT, even with temps in the low 30's. I have a moderate tune though, and I use strictly Sunoco Ultra 94, and am always listening for detonation.

As most have said, it's ALL in the tune. You can help things by running higher octane to be safe, though.

A stock L will be fine. And since you have an 03, you probably dont have to worry about the thread issue in the heads.
