sta-bil, good stuff?

Parking the L for the winter and wondering if anyone uses fuel stabalizer?

I never used anything in my mustang over the winter and never had a problem but if it helps I think i will use sta-bil.

Any opinions on this?

Thanks

It's a good idea to put a fuel stabilizer in the fuel if it's going to sit for more than 2 months. It contains alcohol, which will absorb any moisture that might accumulate in the tank. It definitely won't hurt anything.

I can vouch for it keeping gas in good shape for up to 9 months. Not sure how long it will keep it good. I think enough of it to add to every tank in my Corvette and GTX.

Gas has a 90day life after that it goes down hill, if you mix oil in it (2-stroke engines) the oil you mix will start loseing it lube after 24hours.

I found some STP Fuel Stabilzer Super Concentrated at Advance Auto parts. It was cheaper than Sta-Bil. I'm giving it a try.
