i want to put my 4lb lower pulley on today, and im wondering how my chip (diablo, already burned for a 2lb upper) will handle that boost...someone said to pull the chip, until i get it tuned...but then i read a thread saying, its a very bad idea to run any extra boost with a stock computer...so then i was considering leaving the chip in...just for about 2 weeks...until i get it tuned..i wont be going crazy with the throttle, but what way sould i go???? 2lb upper, 4lb lower with the stock computer??? OR!!!!! 2lb upper, 4lb lower with the diablo chip in just not retuned??? what is the better way... oh and i will be chainging the plugs to NGK tr6's and a 170 thermostat..

 

dependign in what the temos are and where you are located, what timing is in the chip would be the factors i would pick through to decide whether it is safe or not.

 

I have read on these boards that “as long you stay off the boost or WOT runs” You will be Ok. (With or with out a chip)

 

im in florida, so it usually stays pretty hot here...its in the 80's still...i bought the truck with the chip and pulley already on it...so i dont know the details on the timing and stuff..
