How many guys w/ interchangeable lowers.. actually change them?

The reason I ask is since I got my L back w/ the motor an KB I have been changing my lower ring alot (2,4,6,8) to see the effects of each.
Most guys w/ a KB would change the upper but since I have the Shaker hood in the way and I have all the lower rings anyway.

Before the KB , I would just put a ring on and leave it until I went up to the next higher one.

I have gotten pretty good at it. Could do it an about 15 minutes tops (that includes getting the tools and clean-up).

So who else changes there interchangeables for street or strip or summer and winter?

VINNIE

the only time i would ever think about using it is, when going in for emissions, then i'd step down to a 2lb and no chip

Pulleys

Good question Vinnie, as for my 8#er I've had it on for the past year and I love it too much to change it. And now that I'm running the KB with the 3.5 in upper, I'm making tons more power with only 15# of boost. I'll probably get a 3 in. upper for the track only and see how that does, John H.

Since I've been trying to get a couple issues resolved with my tune, I have been swapping my lower rings. I have two uppers 3.5 and 2 3/4, and then I have a 6lb lower and a 4 lb lower. It gives me a couple different boost levels without having to buy every KB pulley, although they are easier to change. Once I find what my truck likes I'll stay with it.
Thanks Mike

I changed back and forth between the 4 and 6 pulley back before I got the KB.
I could swap them in about 25 minutes, but that was also before the electric fan, which makes it much easier to get in there!

I may buy a #6 ring and try it out next Summer. It's funny that you posted this. I put mine on last April with a #4er and after the time we had getting off the old-style caged #2er, I don't think my brain would allow itself to even think about going anywhere near that pulley again.

So next Summer when I swap, I'll re-open this thread and let you know how long it took.
