Jlp/ssotn @ Cecil! Info!!

Bill wanted me to let those who are comming to cecil next sat. to be informed that their will be a dinner and a time for which we all can relax kick back and enjoy each other stories and company.. This will take place @ the Crystal inn in the banquet room. The cost will be $15.00 a person. this will take place directly after the the JLP/SSOTN event! their also will be some product give aways, Gift Certi,..ect..
We look forward in seeing everyone and look forward to a Super day of Racing @ 1 of the *fastest* Tracks in the world! We will also have some products available and also have our *revolution* Software to help Fine Tune our customers, and help them lay down some record times. We @ JLP hope to have at least 5 10 sec. Lightnings and few 11 sec. HD. trucks running! we are going to tune up our HD truck to try and go 11's with the *stock* engine! we have been running upwards of 23# of boost now we'll take it to 25#! Its going to be 11's or break the rods trying!
Look forward in seeing everyone! JL

Johnny, I can appreciate your enthusiasm, but I really think you should save the 25psi stock engine run for a different time. This is a private 1/2 day track rental, which will have over 150 cars, and a mid track oil down could really ruin a lot of people's day. We all know stuff breaks and it's expected now and then, but to come to the event knowing you are most likely going to kick a rod, is just not cool IMHO.

Well To be honest sal...... We Really don't know if we will break a rod...Maybe we won't maybe we will.....

Maybe we'll wait till the end of the day to try it....

Lets get some feed back from everyone...

Should we try it or No? JL

I think it'd be better to wait to closer towards the end of the day. They reprep the track after we leave for the Saturday night racing anyway .

I say go for it Johnny

Sometimes you blow up at the starting line and other times you blow up @ 1000ft. There is no way to determine when its gonna happen.

From what I have heard, Cecil is a great track and they take very good care of it.

BLOW IT UP JOHHNY!

but let everyone else run first!

make an announcement that you are going for 11's or blow her up in the process, that will make for a large crowd and a lot of video footage!

(be sure to post the footage either way 11's or hole in block)

I have to agree with Sal, I would be some pi$$ed if I went to that event and had to sit in the pits with my thumb up my **** because someones ego wanted to destroy an engine. Personally, I can't see why people think its cool to blow up an engine in the first place. Take it out and store it in cosmolene, it may be a nice conversation piece 20 years from now. Any time you have major engine failure at those power levels and those speeds, you risk damaging the track surface, or risk your own personal safety. Just like pulling a fire alarm, now you are risking the safety of the people that come to your rescue when your truck is "fully involved" at the 1000ft mark. And for crying out loud...to blow an engine at cecil, with the way that track goes down hill, you'd have oil the length of the track in no time!!!!!

(Sorry, the last part was low, but I had to put some humor in there!)

Cool Later in the day

John,
I will love seeing the HD run an eleven intact.
But I have my own 11 to chase. So later in the day is the time we are all looking at.

Thanks
Fred
