Chances are there's at least a dozen other vehicles as close to blowing their engines as JL's. It just happens sometimes. I'd say go for it, just give us some warning so we can all watch If they have to clean up, oh well, I'm there more to meet friends than to race, but that's just me.

Looks like for the most part We want to see if we can hit the 11's with the HD with a stock block.. Keep in mind we are not* intentionaly* trying to blow up our HD at all..We'll wait till the end of the day to turn the boost up.. Might not be a bad idea. maybe those who suggested this will wait also till the end of the day before they go for the *gusto* so to speak... ive seen what NO2 can do when things go wrong.. and its not pretty..... No Thanks

Now I know why I relinquished my spot. I am not quite sure Bill Tumas of SSOTN and the rest of the SSOTN organization are going to appreciate waiting in the lanes for 1/2 hour while the crew cleans the track because someone lacked judgement.

Anyone can break at anytime. Its called racing and things happen, especially when your going for a new best time.
Compared to other race vehicles that are at the track, our Lightnings seem to hold together better anyway.

Sorry to see that you wont be attending.

GRIP IT GOOD

Isn't this a "test" and tune. Test it. Blow it up.

I'm sure there will be 03 Cobra guys, blown GT's, etc. pushing the limit. That's what they are all going for! Most of us won't be bracket racing. What's the point if you aren't trying to beat your last ET or a friendly grudge match?

Thanks man. I think I am just gonna leave the truck the way it is aside from the wheels and tires. It has already made three 11 second passes as it sits, so it isn't like I am trying anything new here. Best of luck to all at the event. It should be fun. -Mat-
