Man, I don't even know where to start. I hate seeing stuff like this. The truck can be replaced, good girls can't. Sorry to see your truck in that shape.

She said she turned onto a street and it sounded after she turned like something poped and broke or broke. I cant explain How or what cause i wasnt there, But the way it sounded was like a blown plug.

She Junped out and is ok so thats all i was worried about, Now i get upset thinking about it everytime Knowing everything i had in there. Full system, Hid Kit, Everything Now i have to argue with insurane cause that all means nothing to them.

Yeah, its gonna be a bitch, hopefully you have reciepts for them all. It will help. While your there take a ton of pictures of your truck, and try to identify the parts you had. That should help as well, but i think unless you claimed them its gonna be hard to convince em to cover it. Good luck bro :thumb:

I am so sorry GMNightmare

If it does turn out to be a plug that spit, please tell me
your gonna get a great Lawyer and sue the ever living schitt
out of Ford.
DONT GET ME STARTED on the lack of threads, Those Bastards got away with this for waaaaaaaaay too many yrs
*^$#*!(#$(#$!(#!$(#^$#)*^_^^)$&%$@$@&%&%$

Someone asked how a fire results from the spit plug ?
We have COP "Coil Over Plug"
We also have the COP wedged in UNDER the Fuel Rail
So on a good spit, it is very possible to shoot the plug
into the coil into the fuel rail.
Spark/Fuel/and Pressure all meeting............

It's really schitty to see a Beautiful Lightning burned up like that
but of course the main thing is Your GF and any other passengers are ok. Insurance Company will pay you for your loss (more or less) But "IF" it was a spit plug, get a great Lawyer and rip their frucking eyes out

the problem is trying to get to the root of the problem with everything melted. The fire was Hot under the hood as it melted the Intake bend to almost nothing. so to really gander its gonna require me telling the insurance co i wanna pull the heads off and see if it in fact did shoot a plug, But yet argue with them about getting Paid.

I have reciepts for everything, But they dont care, They wanna low ball us for everything but yet not tell us why we pay hi premiums.

what botheres me is it happend while she was driving the truck it didnt happen to me, And she drove the truck for 4 days 88 miles round trip. And if it would of happend with me i could explain it better.

plus the truck was super clean, 28k miles, I hardly drove it, And it was pretty much where i wanted it, Just Planned on changing the woofer selection around.

Oh well things happen for a reason.

Being this means a Insurance claim that means the rates will jump, With that said I would look into the blown plug causing it and start talking to Ford. Hey, it is worth it if at the end of the day it saves you a few bucks in insurance.

That sucks, at least your GF is OK

as for the plug, it should be pritty easy to find out if one launched.

Good luck with what ever you decide to do.
