lowered truck problem
lowered truck problem
I installed the Roush kit on my truck about 2 months ago, and got the alignment immediately after the installation. I recently noticed that the inner part of my front tires ( new mind you ) are worn to the metal lining. So I'm like WTF, I'm going to take the truck back to the shop that did the alignment to fix it for free, but what I want to know is that if there is a kit/bolts that minimize this from happening?
I have had the same problem. It ate a pair of F1s, and now it is working on some Dunlops. Thing is, I am within spec on camber, and cannot get any more out of my cam bolts I have (NAPA). What is going on?

I had tons of alignment problems with my truck until I found a guy that specializes in aligning lowered vehicle. They need to account for the roads in your area... Florida has crowns in the road for water runoff that will greatly effect an alignment. Since having my truck aligned at this new shop I have had no problems. My truck has a 4/4 drop and I only have a little wear on the inside, but this is do to the several drop I have. Most Ford/Quality Care centers will not correclty aligned a lowered vehicle. They will use stock alignment specs which is wrong!
I would HIGHLY recommend finding a local dropshop that does alignments also.
My drop consist of:
Western Chassis 2" Drop A-Arms
Western Chassis 1" Drop Spring
Western Chassis C-Notch (Not in yet)
Western Chassis Hangers and Shackles
Doestch Tech Shock
So-Cal Rear Adjustable End Links
Energy Suspension Bumpstops and Front Endlinks

I have the Roush lowering kit and have had no uneven tire were in 11,000 miles. I got my alignment specs from Eric at Roush. I would think Roush would know what these trucks need with their kit more than anyone else.
