I think maybe in the future I may send mine to further fine tune it. My 1-2 shift is quick but I think it could be improved. The 2-3 is a little hard but probably almost the way I may want the 1-2. But overall I'm very satisfied

I felt the same way VTSVT did at first, I e-mailed Greg, and Greg sent me another one to try. After the second installation wow, it slammed each gear.

It’s like three types or models of FTVB (light, medium, and hard). I installed the hard shifter (second time). I rode it for about 250 miles and said forget it!
Even at idle 1-2 slams, then 2-3 slams. You can’t drink coffee, etc. In addition, what bother me the most, was the wear and tear on the differential U-joints, the wear or pounding at the rear end (pinion gear/ring gear). Believe me it gets old quick!!!!

I took it out, put the soft shifter back on, and have run with it ever sense (32K). At idle very little difference (a gentle bump) but at half throttle I always get a 1-2 chirp, at WOT burn all through 1st and slip and slide on second, Not good !!!

Usually I back off after 70. Before the 2-3 shift. No chip, no pulley! 4k to go then we will see!!

I noticed mine right away.... before I had the VB I had increased line pressure using my chip which made for some hard shifts.... I feel the VB I have now is perfect..not too hard, not too soft...and always shifts the way I need it to... one of the better mods I have done.

REM sells the FTVB, made by Greg Evans.

I have also heard that they sell one I don't make ( I ain't gonna say they copied it, but well.....), I don't support the other one, if it's mine it would have had my signature on the valve body, and the box had a Factory Tech sticker on it, and finally, you get a Factory Tech Window sticker (expcept the last batch I sent to PSP and Chickenears, I was out.)

My FTVB hit sooo hard that I had to seek Chiropractic help.

I had to retune my chip’s line pressure (tuned it back to stock line pressure).

But my friends FTVB (with the exact same mods on his L) shifts very mildly, I'm gonna link him this thread.

Hey Gregg:
I bought mine from REM about a year ago. It's got your signature on it but I didn't get a sticker.

If i'm out of stickers, I ship them without one, but anyone who wants one can send me a self addressed stamped envelope and I'll get you one.
