Question KB vs Works ???

I have read numerous threads (not all here) comparing the KB and works 120 Superchargers. I just don’t understand the actual difference and which one will ultimately give you the most added HP. I have quite an aversion to going under my hood except to check the oil, I leave the rest to you guys and the professionals. I wish I weren’t so engine stupid…it would save me a lot of money and be more satisfying to say I did it. But with my luck I’d blow something up. Anyway if someone could explain the two S/C’s in layman’s terms that would be great.

don't forget abouthte magnum powers blower from JDM!

1/2 the price of the KB and it is installed on a truck that is currently running 10's. so it's perfromance is proven.

Didn't JDM say along time ago that they were coming out with a s/c? I think it might have been called the 140 or something, not really sure so don't hold me to that. But as the story goes they got everyone hyped up about a new s/c that could throw out numbres like the top s/c of that time and half the price. But the s/c never came out. Doesn't that story sound similiar? Also whats up with it will be out in 3 months....5 weeks, 5 weeks later 3 more weeks.....2 weeks later 4 more weeks? Are we going to see it or not?

I have a little bag of fairy dust that I SWEAR has gotten me to another dimension, so it's proven magical fairy dust. It's half the price of previous time continuun modifiers, and doesn't need plutonium for vendor X's flux capacitor. Buy from me.

SUAVY has the Magnum powers on his truck.

Tha Magnum powers is 1/2 price AND SAME PERFORMANCE. C'mon people it's a no brainer;

please read below (from JDM):

JDM posted that the magnum powers is on a truck and that truck is running 10's and the article will be in the magazines in about 2 months.
Please see below.

Johnny sounds like your just being a smart a$$ to Don. Thats just like saying the only reason why you got to 10.40's is beacuse you stripped your truck down to 3800lbs and that you race at Cecil the world's quickest track. So if you put the weight back in the truck to 4700lbs you might be running 11.0's. Don has gone that fast with full interior, sway bar, spare tire, tail gate, and tipping the scales at 4800lbs. With a 3.00 upper pulley and 8lb lower not a 10 rib pulley the size of a quater and a 10lb lower. This phenolic spacer BS is just that. I've installed over 25 KB's in the past 4 months or so with 4 KB failures and 3 of them did not have a phenolic spacer! One however did fail and the blower failed within the first 20feet of the owner driving it and that was because the gears in the case had locked up. Jim Bell did warranty them all. As for the top plate, wether its the bolts in the phenolic spacer kit or using the factory Eaton bolts they were a hundred thousandths to long and the only thing the did was hit the outter edge of the case which is impossible and I repeat again impossible to cause any type of damage to the blower. Maybe KB is going to void warranty now for over spinning the blower, excessive nose cone pressure from 10 rib pulleys or aftermarket belt tensioners, ALL of these you promote because you run them on your truck. I think your just pissed because I install more KB's than you do. It is official now that KB is not the only blower that can get our Trucks into the 10's. It has been done with a Magnum blower. Magnum powers which will be out in magazines in about two months. Im gonna let this go for now because I dont wanna get this thread closed.

The stock eaton is 100% less than price of the KB and 'it is installed on a truck that is currently running 10's. so it's pre-fro-mance is proven.'
And I can buy a stock Eaton today!

I remember reading about 10's on a stock eaton also. I think I remember reading about nitrous and maybe porting on the blower done to. It was probably on this board if you do a search.

Since I had something come up and can't make it to Cecil on the 8th, well with my luck this race will happen and I'll miss it.
