which electric fan?

Kinda new to this idea and want some input, which kit and do I need programming with it? Also if I could do either e-fan or a waterpump which would be best. I probaly will wind up doing both, but want to do one now. I'm doing this mainly for the long road trips.

Thanks
Stan

I got an LFP efan... install was an absolute piece of cake... good price, too.

Ford-based (i.e., single fan) kits:
1. Plug and play
2. cheaper
3. OEM quality parts

Perma-Cool fans:
1. dual fans-- redundant
2. way more CFM
3. more difficult installation

The "Cobra" water pump may give a HP or two, but at the expense of reduced coolant flow. You make the call.

I've got an LFP efan. Installation is straight forward. No real difficulties. Wiring is thorough and complete - all parts nicely packaged. I also put the aluminum pump on also, although it's questionable as to whether there's any HP gain. Although the flex-a-lites move more air, the Ford fan used in LFP efan kit seems more than sufficient to task and as Tim noted, is generally easier to install than the flex-a-lites.
