I have been reading a lot about most of you putting 32psi in your rear tires and 40 in the front. Well, that's what I just tried after I filled up my L at the gas-station and it handles like crap? Is that normal. It almost handles like a truck now AHHHH! Can't believe I said that. Let me know what you guys have to say about proper inflation for street driving - racing.

32 32 32 32....when tires are cold or sitting for many hours...
preferable first thing in the morning.

 

For making passes, yes pump the front up to 40-45
As for the rear, I find 19 for Hoosiers (NOT 16 LIKE FRIDAY)
and 19-25 for the F-1's

But for daily street driving I like 32-35 all around


I do know what you mean about feeling the difference,
me and Gator follwed each other a while coming home from
Eng Town Fri, and when we stopped for Gas, I couldn't get that air back down to 32 in the front fast enough. I noticed it immediatly when I left the track

 

I usually run about 14 in my Hoosiers

 

Ya, what Rob said. I would only pump em up in the front for a night at the track

 

 

Dumb question probably...but whats the advantage to inflating the front tires so high?
