Couple Different Questions

Hey guys....few things, decided to put them in one thread...sorry if it confuses anyone:

1. Does any one have a part # for the intercooler/engine coolant. It's the yellow kind.

2. I'm creating a "wish list" of sorts for those who are planning christmas gifts already....any ideas....under $200...performance preferred over looks...

3. Does any have a 4# lower and a 2.7# upper on their L. Wondering if it jeapordizes my internals too much....also, what size belt would i need for those. Will that up my boost to the point of having to get new plugs (if so what plugs....)

Thanks for the help and suggestions

Question number 1...Premium Engine Coolant (green in color) E2FZ-19549-AA or -B (Canada: Motorcraft CXC-10 Oregon: F5FZ-19549-CC) or equivalent meeting Ford specification ESE-M97B44-A.

Question number 2...Good Luck!

Question number 3...4 lb. lower, interchangeable upper, stock belt, bottom end still intact (just had to cut the infamous 'nub' off of the supercharger belt tensioner for the belt to fit). As far as plugs go, NGK TR-6's have worked, Denso IT-22's and 24's have worked and BR7's have worked. Pick the plug that suits your budget/driving style and have at it.

the coolant i have is yellow, though....does it matter??? And when i go my 4# pulley JDM changed the belt...so you're telling me to go back to the stock one then......also, if anyone remembers i posted a couple weeks back about possible belt slip, is that because the belt i got from JDM is too big???

Alright Vinnie...ya rat bas-tard! Stuck in AZ??? Whatcha talkin' about?

And so it's out...I am sans nub, so what??? My wife still likes me...kind of. By the way, are you in the 10's yet, or are you going to let Terri take that pig out on the track to show you how it's done? Historically I believe she has proven to be faster than you down the 1/4...which is a good indication of where your 'nub' may have gone. Ask her if she'll take it out of her purse for a while, so you can go play with all the other fellas who still have theirs!!! Maybe Kelley will let me have mine for a little while too...

And these trucks come with a warranty? I wasn't aware of that...figured that my warranty was long gone a week after I got the truck. Haven't been to the dealer for anything but a fog light and a shorting MAF wiring harness (which I was told was caused by the oil from the K&N filter...the SVT Hotline and I didn't agree with that one either and my chafed wiring harness was replaced).

LightningCT,

The yellow stuff is the same as the green just diluted with water. Now if your stuff is orange similar to the Extended Life GM crap then don't mix the two or you'll end up with a nice sludge in your cooling system. If you haven't changed any of the anti-freeze than green is the way to go (and any green coolant by Prestone or whoever will work).

If JDM did a belt change when you had the pulley put on then they probably used a longer belt and didn't have to 'break you nub'...that's sounds very Lorena Bobbit-like. You won't need a new belt with the upper as it's a smaller diameter and the current belt will work...the tensioner should take up any slack introduced with the smaller diameter upper pulley. Belt slip is a common problem and is actually worsened when you add an upper as there is less surface area for the belt to grip...hence the things like the Metco kit, etc. If you're really worried about belt slip than look at your upper pulley for any black 'dust', which would be coming from the belt's slippage.

The yellow coolant is found in the 2003. Dont know if its a different product or they just chose to make it pee color.

I did not know that...the part number I gave you was out of a 2001 service manual, so the 2003 stuff may well be different.
