When removing a chip from the computer do we have to remive the computer and unplug it from the truck like we did when we had to do it the first time? I remember having to do this because we had to clean the contacts and what not and had to take apart the housing for the computer. But if I want to remove my chip can I just disconnect the battery and reach under and remove the chip? Is this ok to do and is the hole big enough in the housing for the chip to come out?

Nope. just disconnect the battery, and pop it out.
