Ya, look at the size of those cans,... I mean fans. All joking aside I have the Inner Chiller and I'm very happy with it. The shroud is really well made and instillation was a snap! As for restricting air flow, when the truck is parked and the fan are running it will suck a piece of paper to the lower grill!

Thats not the point...........people are talking about while driving how can air pass thru a radiator with the shroud and fans on the back. But if you run the IC fans all the time none of this matters.......

They only come on when you IC pump is working, so there on all the time. I think that this is helpful for track and street. The biggest problem I see w/ this kit is that it won't work w/ the bigger coolers, unless you know someone that can refab it to fit.

There is a big problem with this kit. Sure it will work at idle and at lower speed but on a road race track at high speed, you will significantly reduce air flow because you are restricted to the flow of the fans.

The end result is that you would significantly overheat the system at high speed under high boost.

Thats the point, "when the fans are running", so if something happens to the electric circuit, fan motor, etc.....you will have a restricted air flow. But none of that matters, if your happy with the product, Iam happy for you. I just don't think I would be happy with it

Well about that restriction. I did my own testing without the system installed. Cruising on the freeway for 25 miles at 80mph in drive(3rd gear) turning about 3200(oops, should have been 3600) rpm. Intake temp on the 2nd IAT sensor (the one in the intake manifold), I had a constant temp of 135 degrees. Then I put the interchiller system on and did the same run with the fans off. Constant temp of 138 degrees. Then with the fans on, constant temp of 110 degrees. What do you think about your restriction now?
Wouldn't you have the same issues with the engine radiator also. It has a shroud too, does it restrict the air flow? No. The fans will spin as the air rushes by them. The best part of this system is the shroud. Because it pulls the air through the whole intercooler, not just where the fans are mounted.

So the fans pull more than a 80 mph wind?

If you have house fan in your garage and its no high and you take your leaf blower and use it to blow with the fan are you going to have the same output because the restrictive nature of the house fan? I think no.

Aerodynamics play a big role in how much air actually goes through the inercooler. The back of the intercooler is not wide open and front is not wide open. The front bumper is angled down. You have the grille in front of it. So the air does not have a straight unrestricted air flow into the cooler. But I'm not going to sit here and argue real world numbers. I have proven it works. I have nothing to gain by making this item "look" good. I was just trying to give other Lightning and Harley owners some info on a product that would help them gain a little performance. Do what you will with the info. Doesn't matter to me. I have posted my findings for others to gain from them. If you have other beliefs, prove them wrong, don't post hearsay. Post numbers and facts.

The product your selling looks very intresting and Im intrested but I have to ask, Why were your IAT Temps so high at Cruise ? That is usually the temp I see when in full boost, at cruise I see temps 10-15 degrees higher than the 1st IAT sensor. Also my truck turns about 4000@80(3rd Gear/Over Drive off) do you mean 3rd Gear with overdrive on(Top Gear) ?

Gator, what all mods do you have to your truck ? Very impressive times

My second IAT temps are always around 40° higher than the first IAT temps. That is no boost cruising on the freeway at around 80 mph in 4th gear...
Please post some autotap log files or something, because if that is the case you have one awesome truck.

ditto easter's post. I saw similar (around 40 degrees) spread from intake and second air intake charge temps.

110 on a constant cruise is pretty good...

No Excel Spread sheet, Just what I saw on a NGS. The 136 Degree figure was from a Dyno run and WOT run on a 75-80 degree day. The 10-15 Degree figure was taken on a 40 degree night, at highway speed for about 15 miles. The 1st IAT was about 10-15 degrees above ambient until after I was up to speed for few minutes when it then returned to 2-5 degrees above ambient.

BTW- I have a 6lb lower Pulley

It also has to do with the supercharger you have and how much you are spinning it. I have 22 psi max worth of pullies on the truck right now and it will show a higher IAT than when I have 16. by about 10°. I guess if I lowered it down to 8 maybe it would only be around 10° higher...
