Drove an SRT-10!
Drove an SRT-10!
Only a few miles, and no place to get it above 60. Engine has BIG torque, but it seems too much for the chassis. It has a Hurst style shifter that worked better than expected, but I still like our automatics better. HUGE brakes/wheels/tires. I like the ride of my ’99 better and I have fewer squeaks at 111,000 miles, but this was a pre-production unit. Wing across the back of the bed doesn’t do much for me, and we didn’t see a way to R&R it easily. I think the best consistent ¼’s so far were ~13.6 @ 105 with about 3,000 miles on it. I want to see a comparo with the 2004 L!
Were those 1/4 mile times done by your group? That a pretty decent trap speed - with a good launch, lower 13's or high 12's, especially on slicks.
Still wouldn't waste my money on it
I'll take the savings on the difference between that and the '04, and put that $ into mods

The JOYS of Living in MICHIGAN!.
you always knows someone who works on the top secret models.
Heck, Not joining to mention names, but a few MILOC members work in and around the 2005 Mustang everyday!

I know someone who has driven one also. He does quality testing for Chrysler vehicles, so he gets to drive basically every Chrysler model.
He said the SRT-10 is fast, but gets 8-10mpg on average, and thats with a light foot. Even though he said he likes it, its "still a dodge."

Yay!! Finaly we get to poke fun at another vehicle for "their" bad gas mileage LOL
I was hearing 12.9@106 stock from these thing a while back and now I am hearing about 13.6@105 after testing. Thats very close to a stock L. 3 mph faster but about the same 1/4mile time.
Ahh well I guess the only way to tell is to see what they run at the track.

There certainly aren't any 22" slicks that I know of.
