I can get good deal on some KMV Venoms 20x8.5. I really dont do much launching on the street so that is not a problem. Besides not being able to hook, is there any other problems with running an 8.5" rim. The tires that come on them are 285s...

 

You should be fine other than hooking up.

 

The potential for some tire resedue at near highway speeds when at WOT.

 

I am on 18x9's now and ran the same times as usual at the track so the half inch didnt seem to hurt mine.
