ok, let this one be a lesson to all you lightning guys out there. as most of yall know, i got my first and brand new L on thursday. Last night (saturday) I went out to a couple of bars with some friends. Anyway, I got a little *drunk* and decided (of course) there is no way im driving my L (or any other car for that matter ) I was just gonna get a ride from a friend, and pick it up tommorow...but how could i just leave my new baby in a bar parking lot overnight??? Another friend said (who wasnt drinking by the way) he would follow us back to my place driving my truck and then ride back with the other guy. BIG MISTAKE. Not only did he think it was funny to fly by us on the highway at like 100, but the Dr. Pepper stains on my new frickin seats isnt comin out too easliy, nor the cigarrete smell. I also just had my windows tinted, so the film came off and is all over the window and door and inside. But the cop who pulled him over liked the truck, minus the fact that i didnt have the insurance papers in it(i just got it...havent switched from one vehicle to another), and also noticed there was no front license plate. My friend who was driving me had also been drinking, not alot, still good to drive, was dumb enough to pull over where my truvck and the cop was to wait for it all to be over. the cop then made him take a field sobriety test, which he failed (in texas .08 is the limit which is like three beers....) but i passed the abc thing and the line thing....but got charged with drunk in public because we were outside walking up to him from the car. My friend who failed the test got off with a ticket, cop made ME drive off with his car, and tried to impound my lightning, but let him off with an insane ticket for speeding and some other ticket for the license plate. Next time im walking....god that sucked!!!!!

i totally understand,

i let a girl drive my car home one night because i was trashed, the dumb @ss b|tch hit a freaking bus !!! then hit and run it too. that was a great 6 months getting that cleaned up.

i was 16 at the time.



just remember its easier to just walk/take the bus/take a cab to the bar if you're going to get smashed.

 

Dude..... I dont wana sound like a ***.. but it as deff your own doing.... should deff have left the truck home if you knew you where going to be drinking.... Also your friend is a D*ck and if some body like that would do some thing to your brand new truck he's not a friend...... Kick his ***........

yeah, i know i should have left it, but we were all meeting up at the bar, and i dont have any other vehicle as means to get there. the guy who drove my truck is a b*tch sometimes, but hes just stupid. i cant believe that he actually smoked in my truck. hes a chain smoker and he knows i HATE cigarettes...the smell, everything. EXPECIALLY in my new friggin truck. Im so pissed at him. anyway, i got the drpepper stains out, a steamer is a great thing to have. febreze is helping the cig smell, but you can still notice it. i took it to the window tint shop...had to pay for new window (which im making my *friend* pay me back for) all in all a good lesson learned. get beer at the grocery store and watch a movie. bars are crowded, expensive, smelly from cigarettes and full of people that trash other peoples cars.

p.s. about being generous for letting people drive my truck, that was actually my love/hate relationship friend alchol. he said it was ok to let someone else drive my truck. i really need to stop listening to him.... he got to be the first and only person (besides my gf) to drive my truck.

 

Shouldn't have been on the streets without valid insurance anyhow. If you would've waited til it was street legal, you would've missed this whole mess.

Oh well ***** happens. Glad you got the stains out and Febreeze will help. At least the guy wasnt drinking and good thing you did not drive it while drunk.
