I was going to say the same basic thing... rain is kinda like nature's car wash. All the pollutants in the air get pulled down to the ground by the rain and coat whatever it lands on... in this case your truck. Unless you live somewhere where it rains daily so no pollutants build up then rain water isn't as clean as you'd like it to be.

MaxPower is correct...as a test take a "clean" piece of flat clear
glass...leave it outside during the next rain OR just overnight (the morning dew has contaminants too)...after the sun naturally drys
the glass surface examine it...you should see lots of surface
stuff...well thats what gets on your clearcoat and glass every day.

FYI - I emailed "Mr. Clean" regarding their product...

Summary
---------------------------------------------------------------
Will the soap portion strip or degrade existing wax on the vehicle?

Thanks for your message, Jeff.

It may be helpful to know that Mr. Clean AutoDry Car Wash is safe to used on waxed finishes. The special soap not only cleans, it also causes the water to sheet across your car's surface. The thin film of water helps you easily rinse the car with the Mr. Clean AutoDry Car Wash spray. You won't see beading as with other waxed surfaces, but the wax hasn't been removed. The beading will return after you drive the car or after it rains.

I hope this information is helpful. Thanks again for getting in touch.
