How do you take the Snubber off Truck Trak Bars ?

Ok I'm not a total idiot,
The question is, I want to shim them for Friday
and since it's gonna rain tommorrow that doesn't
leave me much time. (clearly not enough to buy shims)

Is the Bottom of the snubber female threaded,
and is a bolt used to hold it on ??

or is male sticking out, and a nut holds them in ???

of course if it's a Bolt, then I just need a longer bolt
and a home made shims

THANKS IN ADVANCE

On the set you have, the snubber should have a male stud that sticks into the bar, with a 9/16" nut you need to access from underneath it.

The spacer kit Jay offers, has an aluminum spacer block, with a new male stud on the bottom, and tapped for the snubber stud on top. If you are trying to do it yourself, I'm not sure how you'd be able to do it.

Rob, you might have better luck making a 1/2" or so flat spacer that can be put between the spring and rear bar mount. That will pivot the snubber up.

Rob,

I had to move mine away form the spring (down)
and I just shimmed the front of the TT mount. I
had a neighbor that brought home a 1/2" piece
of steel from his shop that they used to shim Cranes
with. Works GREAT ....

Rob go to auto zone and get Chrys steering bump stops always in stock part no 31052, they are taller and shaft also longer, so you can space below snubber

Autozone and others have "recalled" those bump stops from what Autozone and Advanced has told me. You can't get them anymore.....
