Sick with the infamous "L" bug.....*cough*
Well it happened. I was on my way to the ford dealer to check out the new 04's. At the dealership were 6 brand new, and might I add gorgeous, Lightnings. Two white, two silver, one blue, and one red. I couldn't resist. With the help of a dumbass excuse for a salesmen (he thought at first that lightnings had a V6) we jumped in a nice white one and took off. Literally. I think i made that salesman swallow his b@lls back down to where they should have been
Anyway, long story short, I WANT ONE. I thought they didnt have enough room in the cab for me, but I fit just fine (Im 6'5) So my question....should i save up and wait and get a new one(are they gonna make a new body style one to match the new 04's?) or buy one a year or two old and use the rest of the cash to modify it?? Anyone wanna sell their "L" to me???? Know of any good "L" deals?? Im checking ebay right after this.....thanks for the feedback/help.

hmm thanks but i kinda looking for an L that isnt heavily modded. Intake and exhaust are ok, but I dont want one that has been raced...This will be my daily driver. Thanks though, i really appreciate it.

If I was buying today, I'd go with a used truck, but only if I was able to buy it from the owner. My pick would be an 03 or an earlier truck with corrected heads. The only reason to go new is for the warranty, which IMHO isnt worth the paper its written on. You're better off saving some money and spending it on mods. Or, buy a truck that's modded the way YOU want. I'd certainly look around and dont just jump on the first opportunity you see. There are some good deals to be had if you look around.

yeah ive looked around, mostly on ebay. My first post did sound apprehensive, but i dont just jump into things. I will wait try to find a good deal. Are there like any listings on the internet i can search for used l's?

Try carmax they had a couple that were in pefect condition I think they had a black one with 12,000 miles on it.But that was back in July. It would'nt hurt to do a search on carmax though. Oh I saw the black one in person it was sweet, they also had a yellow boss with like 9,000 miles that thing is one ygly dog!
