you will be safe with a 6Lbs lower as long as you have nice but safe tune to keep from detination. The detination is what seems to kill these motors more than anything else.

I plan on keeping the 4 lb lower, but i am going to replace the upper blower (2.80) and the idler pulleys also, long tube headers and a catback, water pump, 95 MM MAF and an electric fan kit.....what about then. you see, i'm no mechanic, so i don't really know where my limitations are (so if you have some ideas or know where i can get information that would be great)

You say you have a 4lb lower but are only seeing 10lbs boost that doesnt sound right to me.

My bone stock L consistently registers 10.5 lbs peak boost, with 11.5 not uncommon (Auto Meter electronic boost gauge).

Yeah, all of those parts aren't very hard to install. The headers would be the hardest part. Also you stock 90MM MAF should work just fine with those mods. I got you email, so don't think I forgot about you. I will respond tomorrow. -Mat-

I concur with SVT F150, your stock maf is fine. Many of my L buddys (the Zoo Crew) run 8# pulleys on stock motors with no problems, but they all do have LTs and properly tuned chips by Willie Figeroa or JDM...

He means an additional 8PSI not a total of 8PSI. I ran my truck with the stock Eaton and 14PSI with the stock MAF for well over a year and before that I probably had around 12-13PSI with a 4LB lower. No problems at all. -Mat-
