What a mightmare it ended up to be.....
I should of known it wasn't going to go back together as easy as it was to take off. First off, lining up the gaskets just flat out sucked busted up a couple knuckles. But that wasn't the worst part. After getting the charger on, I Just remebered I wanted to change plugs( I am such a dumb a$$). I pays off that next time down a checklist on what to do next time. But on a good note it only took me an 1.5 hrs to change them. After cussing profusely on my idiotcy I get the plugs done. Now I decided to put my metco idler pulley set on with a couple polished idler pulley to put also. This is were it really sucks. The morons who ever put these on put them on so tight that the one I need to remove I snapped the bolt head right off. Well now I am throwing *****. After the wife comes out to see what the hell is going on out there, I calmed down to evaluate what to do. Well I decided to take the other pulley off figuring what the he!! if that one breaks too I will just get a nice new powder coated idler bracket to my liking. Well it broke alright, my knuckles right into the fan blade. I hit so hard it took out three of my knuckles. As I am trying to remain calm I have my wife get me a wet towel to wipe up the blood on my hands. She comes back just laughing and in my fit I started to. So I take an hour breather and go back out. I finished the idler kit with the exception of the one bolt that goes where that one pulley goes. Now I go to the phenolic spacer. Finally things go perfect until I get to the intake tube. Well none of the plastic tubes line up because of the raised plenum and the idler kit is in the way of the one tube coming from the other side of the plenum. This is where I stopped and finish it up tomorrow. I just had to rant about my day. It just flat out sucked............
Sorry to hear you had such a *****ty day. I am pulling my motor out in two months to install a built long block, long tubes, nitrous, and the list goes on. I am not looking forward to that day. It will be worth it in the end.
