Whats ave 0 to 60mph times?

knowledgable people please respond.

lets hear 0-60 times in seconds for an average stock 01-04 lightning. most everoyne agrees in good weather and good driver that they do 4.9-5.2sec.

also what would be the 0 to 60 speeds be with a bout a 400/500 mid 12second truck?

thanks.

On street legal tires i can do the eighth mile in 7.2 seconds at 97 mph. Take 37 mph away from that and that may be around a 4 second 0-60 or quicker maybe. That isn't stock though.

using the above caluculator

I

Input 1/8th mile track time: 8.502 (in seconds)

Input 1/8th mile trap speed: 84.08(in MPH)

Your 0 to 60 MPH time is approximately: 4.33

I went to the track last night and ran a best of 7.94 I had my Vericom performance computer on the windshield and on that pass it showed a 0-60 of 4.04 That was on a 1.73 60ft. The calculator at the above link says 3.79 so I think it is a little optimistic.

Those calculators are pretty much worthless other than bench racing on the internet. They are very optimistic.

When I plug in my best 1/8th it comes out to be 3.71.

On that run I had a 1.665 60 foot. I wonder if getting a good sixty foot or a bad one would scew the numbers?

My 1/8th time was 7.867@87.39 mph.

Plug in some stock 1/8 mile times and use that to see if it is accurate

Mine comes out to a 3.94.

Realistically I would say our trucks w\chip\pulley\air would be in the 4's and to be honest that would be tough on the street.

I have tried it and the best I could get was a 5.2, using my stop watch.
