The powder coated ones look awesome. You can choose many colors if you want to coordinate with other parts in your engine compartment. If you're going for some bling and are going to dress up other areas in the engine compartment, then go for it, bit if this is the only piece you're going to do and leave the rest stock, then I would just leave it natural.

If you have nothing chromed or polished in your engine bay it will look great powdercoated. I have some polished parts in mine, which tend to make the alternator look dirty and dull all the time.
I am currently polishing the case to my broken 130amp because of this.

Was it a hard job to disassemble the alternator? If it tuff to get it back together?

There should be some pics of mine in there. I got mine blue which matches my intake, battery tray, and pulley bracket. They are worth the money.

How much for the 200 amp? You must have a killer sound system to warrant a 200 amp alternator..

Fords wants like $325 for a new 130amp alternator and won't let you keep your broken one. This caused me to get pissed because all there doing if fixing the electronics and reselling your used parts, basically screwing you twice. Mr. Alternator sells a 200amp much cheaper than ford ($235) and warranties it for life, Fords warranty there's for 60 days.

The alternator is pretty easy to take apart, just use some common sense.
I got mine because of the stereo and electric fan was putting a hurting on my stock unit.
